Juice Anyone ?
Shocking News: Is It Good For You?
The orange juice is known everywhere as a part of the classic and healthy
American breakfast; natural juice that is. The juice industry took good notice of this and so they created
their own version by presenting a real, whole orange with a straw inserted to it, in the hopes of creating an
illusion that to drink all their commercial orange juice products would just be like sucking from the real
thing. So, is it good for you? It all depends on how well you understand the subject
matter.
One good issue that folks can discuss these days is what those
“not concentrated” products can and cannot do for us. Whenever we see the “100% Pure and Not from
Concentrate” sign on every carton, we find ourselves overly willing to pay for it at a premium price
because we simply believe we can get a much fresher and superior product compared to those that would
require water to become a full drink. To add to that, we may expect to see a highlighted “100% pure orange
juice” among the ingredients listed on the carton. This could give you all the right reasons that you are
getting only the freshest juice right from the fruit itself.
The problem starts here, because however we are going to look at
it, it’s just far from reality. If you take a close look at the facts, especially discovering what goes on
with the commercial juice-making process, then you’ll surely discover something
else.
Having some, whether freshly squeezed or not, is full of sugar,
rivaling that of soda in a can. This sugar type is called fructose, which had many believe that it is a
healthy form of sugar. When you consume the whole fruit, the fiber in orange will slow down the absorption of
sugar, preventing a spike within your insulin levels. It’s a different story when you just drink the juice,
simply because that’s just too much sugar at one time, and it’s too much for your system to
handle.
Insulin, at elevated levels is among the primary drivers of high
blood pressure, weight gain, diabetes, and many more bad news. This may be the reason behind why the fruit
juice-drinking scare is for real nowadays especially that it is now linked to diabetes risks, while fructose on
the other hand has been proven to increase the triglyceride levels.
We all know at heart that today’s popular brands have been
chemically altered for the main purpose that they can still be good all-year round. That fact alone is scary
enough, even though the process starts with a freshly extracted orange juice. Once the chemicals start to
enter the breaking down of the oranges’ chemical composition scene, then that is your cue to think things
over.
So, is it good for you? The good news is you can now look
at it in a different angle because you already know exactly what you are drinking. Commercial orange fruit
juice was never the answer in the first place.
